Leadville and Independence Pass

I spent a few days in Leadville visiting friends, sightseeing, and riding the Leadville Railroad.

This is the 641 steam engine on display in the parking lot of the Leadville Railroad. I rode the train and enjoyed the panoramic views of the Arkansas River Valley, forest, & Colorado’s highest peaks.

I took a day trip up to Independence Pass at 12,095 feet elevation!
