I left Jackson, The Tetons, and Yellowstone behind as I headed toward Craters of the Moon. Totally unplanned, I followed the Snake River for most of my route to Craters. I took a day trip to Yellowstone on May 25th only a week or so after they had the snow cleared and the road open. There are lots of company’s doing rafting trips down the Snake River and canoeing and kayaking on local ponds, etc.
